We are always striving to do better, and part of that is ensuring our patient experience is unrivaled and we are committed to our community. Our new look represents our story, our values, who we are and the 5-star experience we offer our guests.
The Dentistry Collective, originally founded by Dr. Timothy Garofolo in 2007, is an organization composed of compassionate individuals with the sole purpose of inspiring others by creating sustainable trust and value. We will remain on the frontier of innovation to improve the services we render from the technological advancements our industry has to offer, to the serene environments that we passionately create. Our foundation is based on core values which propel us to operate at our highest potential to deliver an unparalleled experience and impact our community through service and gratitude. As outliers in our industry, we will continue to challenge the norms of our profession by setting new standards in transparency, consistency, and most importantly, exceptional oral health.
In addition to our new brand we have also brought on new Doctor, Dr. Samir Merchant. He attended Ohio State University and earned degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish. Dr. Merchant went on to The Ohio State College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He volunteered with the O.H.I.O. (Oral Health Improvement Outreach) Coach Bus, where he would serve the dental needs of local children alongside Pediatric Dentistry Residents. This experience molded the philanthropic views of dentistry that Dr. Merchant holds today. He owned three successful dental practices in Columbus, Ohio and, also served as an Adjunct Faculty Professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry from 2014-2018. After many years serving the Columbus community, Dr. Merchant, his wife Dr. Shbeena Shah, and their Boston Terrier, Tucker, decided it was time to follow their dream of moving to beautiful San Diego. Dr. Merchant has an unmistakable desire to provide dental care of the highest quality to his patients, while making sure they feel educated, comfortable, and at ease.
